About

What is all this?

Established by Timothy Ntengerenji, Awed (odd) Youth is an animation studio based in Lusaka, Zambia. With the intent to help artists, brands, businesses etc create animated content that engages with their target audience. Providing entertainment, education and if nothing else, value.

Theology?

Yes, the studio is governed by its own theology, "to pursue fantasy while in awe of the real". That means to create worlds and tell fantastical stories, ever expanding our imagination. Yet humbled and in awe of God's boundless creativity in the world around us and not getting lost in make believe.

Team

Timothy Ntengerenji
Animator/Director

Founder of Awed Youth. Studied 3D animation at Emily Carr University of Art & Design in Vancouver, Canada from 2013 – 2017, but now specialises in 2D animation & motion graphics. Upon his return in 2017 he has worked with notable figures in the media industry in various capacities.Timothy noticed how most local media companies offered animation as a minor service. Thus their dedication to quality was of little concern. He saw an opportunity for a media company to focus solely on animation with industry leading capabilities, prioritising quality.
